Veg Momos
🔶For Dough:
3/4 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
1–2 tsp oil
Salt to taste
Water as needed
For Filling:
1 tsp oil
3–4 finely chopped garlic cloves
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
1/2 bowl finely chopped carrot
1/2 bowl finely chopped cabbage
1/4 bowl finely chopped capsicum
1/4 bowl finely chopped beans
1/4 bowl chopped onion or spring onion
1–1.5 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp chili sauce
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
Salt to taste
🔶Method:
Combine all dough ingredients. Mix flour, oil, and salt in a bowl. Add water gradually and knead a soft dough. Cover and rest for 20–25 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, sauté garlic and ginger for a minute, then add chopped vegetables and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes. Add sauces, pepper, and salt. Mix well and remove from heat.
Roll the dough into small discs. Place filling in the center, shape into pleats, and seal well.
Grease a steamer plate, place momos on it leaving space between them, and steam for 7–8 minutes or until translucent.
Your veg momos are ready to serve hot with spicy chutney or sauce!
